The objective of this initiative is to document the biodiversity of Lebanon and create an [[LBIP:About#Why open-access?|open-access]] database of the [[:Category:Animalia|fauna]], [[:Category:Plantae|flora]] and [[:Category:Fungi|funga]] of the country, supporting research, education, and conservation efforts. Moreover, the project includes [[:Category:Fossils|fossils]] from different taxa and geological ages discovered in Lebanon.
